SIP - Renaissance Hotel, LBC

I finally caught up with my best friend the other night. Since she goes to Long Beach all the time with her sister, we decided to go there and chill for our little date night. First we ended up in the Belmont Shore area which had an array of food places, every type of food imaginable and some sporadic bars here and there. First let me tell you what I was wearing: a one sleeve olive green pant romper and super high/uncomfortable nude Steve Madden heels. Not ideal for walking around that place and not appropriate attire (too dressy) for what was available.

So we ended up going around 2nd street in Long Beach which is where all the action was happening and went to SIP at the Renaissance Hotel. It was definitely a much older crowd, but we didn't care because we just wanted a place to sit and talk. The place was small yet very beautiful. I loved the array of furniture which was spread throughout the restaurant/lounge, there was even a few checkered board games.

There was also more than enough seating areas, and a range of them too! You want to lounge? Sit up straight? Little pillows? Lots of pillows? Round seats? Square seats? They got them all! They had clever drink names, pretty much on the high side that's why we only got one drink. I got 'My Pearsuasion' which was a cocktail mixed in a champagne glass, though I wish it was in a bigger glass :/ womp. Other than that, it's a great place to chill and hang out when you want to get away from the loudness of clubs and just relax with someone special.
