MTV MOVIE AWARDS 2012 RECAP

Last night was the 21st Annual MTV Movie Awards here in Studio City, California of course. The awards ceremony was hosted by Russell Brand. It was quite a eventful year for Russell Brand, with his highly publicized divorce from Katy Perry. But besides that, he stars in the upcoming musical "Rock of Ages", so talk about movie promotion! I feel with this year's show, there was really no room for a host. Yes he did his monologue in the beginning, but he was like M.I.A. during the entire show...but it's not like I cared or anything, just an observation.

Here's the list of winners from the night. It was nice seeing a few new categories thrown in there:

Movie of the Year: “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1.”

Best Male Performance: Josh Hutcherson, “The Hunger Games.”

Best Female Performance: Jennifer Lawrence, “The Hunger Games.”

Breakthrough Performance: Shailene Woodley, “The Descendants.”

Best Comedic Performance: Melissa McCarthy, “Bridesmaids.”

Best Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2.”

Best Hero: Harry Potter, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2.”

Best Music: LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” ‘’21 Jump Street.”

Best Kiss: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1.”

Best Fight: Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson vs. Alexander Ludwig, “The Hunger Games.”

Best On-Screen Dirtbag: Jennifer Aniston, “Horrible Bosses.”

Best On-Screen Transformation: Elizabeth Banks, “The Hunger Games.”

Best Gut-Wrenching Performance: Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper, “Bridesmaids.”

MTV Trailblazer Award: Emma Stone.

MTV Generation Award: Johnny Depp.

This awards show was actual pretty enjoyable for me. There were a few standout moments:

1) FUN opened up the show with their hit song "We Are Young". Man, does the lead singer have a voice on him! White boy can SANG!

2) Chris Hemsworth is HOT! Before I thought Liam was hands down the hotter younger brother, BUT after seeing Chris Hemsworth while presenting the award, my jaw seriously DROPPED! He is a GOD!

3) Wiz Khalifa's performance just because he did an ode to classic rock when he rocked a Joan Jett tank and the signature Steven Tyler decorated mic stand with colorful scarves.

4) Joe Manganiello showed up in his Magic Mike attire when Elizabeth Banks won her award. FIRE!

5) Kristen Stewart. How awkward is she? I was freakin embarrassed for her, especially when she won the award (again) for Best Kiss with Robert Pattinson and she was on-stage solo. No one wanted to accompany her, and she was just really weird...again. Awkward turtle anyone?

6) Emma Stone awarded the MTV Trailblazer Award. Who doesn't love that girl? Not only is she a good actress, but I truly do respect celebs that speak eloquently. She did a heartfelt speech on being independent and doing what you love...very inspiring.

7) Johnny Depp performing with The Black Keys. He was also awarded the MTV Generation Award, but honestly, how much better can Johnny Depp get? He's very handsome, a great actor, AND a musician. YOU GO JOHNNY DEPP!

8) Christian Bale quietly breaking down during the presentation of The Dark Knight highlights from the past two films whilst remembering Heath Ledger. Though I initially thought he had a really hard exterior from his less than stellar personality heard around town, to see that emotional side made me weak inside! We will always remember you Heath Ledger!

What were your highlights of the night?

SAG Awards, More Like UP-Lifting Awards

Yesterday on TNT was the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. These awards are more serious than the Golden Globes, and help determine who would win an Oscar for the upcoming Academy Awards in late February. Many of the winners in the movie category also won their categories for the Golden Globes, so they are most likely going to win an Oscar as well. For a complete list of winners, check out:

http://http://www.sagawards.org/media-pr/press-releases/screen-actors-guild-honors-outstanding-film-and-television-performances-17th

For motion pictures, came big wins for "The King's Speech" and for the individual acting categories, winners that came out on top were Colin Firth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, and Melissa Leo.

"THEATRICAL MOTION PICTURES

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role
COLIN FIRTH / King George VI - "THE KING’S SPEECH" (The Weinstein Company)

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role
NATALIE PORTMAN / Nina Sayers – “BLACK SWAN” (Fox Searchlight Pictures)

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role
CHRISTIAN BALE / Dicky Eklund – “THE FIGHTER” (Paramount Pictures and Relativity Media)

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role
MELISSA LEO / Alice Ward – “THE FIGHTER” (Paramount Pictures and Relativity Media)"

As another awards ceremony ends, how can we forget about the fashion on the red carpet. Yesterday, there was a trend for hot pink (my fashion premonition has come true), along with an emerging trend I see that will appear more which are dresses with print.

Hailee Steinfeld wore a Prada striped dress. I felt it was fresh and very age appropriate for her. The dress was flattering on her young figure with a fitted form on the top and a mermaid flaring at the bottom.
Jennifer Lawrence wore a hot pink number by Oscar de la Renta. This color is so beautiful on any skin type, and the design of the dress was beautiful except the competing black belt with the shoulder straps. Hot pink is the color of now and the future my friends.
Mila Kunis and her Alexander McQueen gown turned heads. The jewel tones, and the floral print on the bottom of the gown looked like a breath of fresh air. She truly looked like a goddess floating on the carpet.
Best dressed for me of the night was newly single Eva Longoria. Despite her rough past couple of months, she looks as stunning as ever in this Georges Hobeika Spring 2011 Couture gown. This low cut dress has a beautiful creme color that draped beautifully on the bottom. The dress was also backless! Very sexy, yet very appropriate for her, go get it Eva!!!

The SAG Awards was a very positive night where actors came together and truly appreciated their craft along with other actors that work in the business-very UPLIFTING, instead of SAG-gy don't you think?

Christian Bale & Sibi: Disneyland Duo

Christian Bale goes for a ride at Disneyland with his wife Sibi Blazic, their adorable daughter, and some friends on Monday (June 14) in Anaheim, Calif.

The fun family rode in the Caterpillar car on the Alice in Wonderland ride, which follows the path of the movie as riders follow the White Rabbit down the Rabbit Hole into Wonderland.

According to Bloody Disgusting, Christian is in talks to star in a new film called The Revenant helmed by director John Hillcoat (The Road). The horror flick, which is based on a book by Michael Punke, is about a man mauled by a bear who seeks revenge on two men after he survives the attack.

10+ pictures inside of Disneyland duo Christian and Sibi…
