Elisabeth Moss Files to Divorce Fred Armisen

Elisabeth Moss has filed divorce papers to end her marriage to Saturday Night Live’s Fred Armisen.

The 28-year-old Mad Men actress wed Fred, 43, in October of 2008 and listed the date of their separation as June 26, 2010.

Elisabeth listed the reason for their separation as “irreconcilable differences”.

Rumors had been floating of Fred and Elisabeth’s separation since last month, but ET first confirmed the news today.

SNL actor Fred Armisen and Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss were married Sunday (October 25) at New York City’s The Foundry, her rep confirms.
October 25 is an important day for the couple - it was the anniversary of the day they’d met, when Elisabeth’s co-star Jon Hamm hosted SNL.
In August, Elisabeth, 27, told People that she hoped for a simple, “medium-sized” wedding. Elisabeth chose a bridal gown by Claire Pettibone, saying it was the only designer she ever wanted.
This is the second marriage for Fred, 42, who was previously married to singer/songwriter Sally Timms.
Whoopi Goldberg spilled details on Monday’s episode of The View and joked that she hoped Fred, who impersonates Joy Behar on the show, would do an impression at the ceremony.
“I have to say, I was kind of hoping he would be dressed as Joy for the wedding, just to come down the aisle,” Whoopi said.
We know family and friends were present for the nuptials, but there’s no word yet on a honeymoon location or celebrity guests - both Fred and Elisabeth keep quiet when it comes to their private lives.
