MTV MOVIE AWARDS 2012 FASHION RECAP

A week after the Cannes Film Festival was a red carpet event not so high fashion, but definitely newsworthy. The biggest fashion trends of the MTV Movie Awards 2012 were:

1) Peplum Dresses that give you an extra oomph in your hips to accentuate your curves.

2) Menswear inspired pieces with a feminine, sexy twist like a plunging neckline.

3) Sculptural and graphic cocktail dresses which showcases your edgy and girly persona.

My choice for Best Dressed of the night was definitely Elizabeth Banks! She looked amazing in an Elie Saab black pant jumpsuit with cutout detailing on the top and sides. Her entire outfit along with the styling of the hair and makeup worked out perfectly.

Anyone who looked like she did, deserved to be awarded and carried out by Joe Manganiello.

GOLDEN GLOBES FASHION RECAP 2012

The Golden Globes came and went...but here's who made my Best Dressed List for the night!

Kate Beckingsale glowed in a nude strapless Roberto Cavalli gown.

Sofia Vergara was VA-VA-VROOMING in a navy blue gown that hugged all her Latina curves.

Nicole Kidman looked amazing in this dazzling gray Versace dress embedded with gold studded stones. Seriously look at her statuesque figure! That dress fits her like a glove!

Laura Dern looked great in this emerald green embroidered gown by Andrew Gn. I just love the style and color of it!

Emma Stone looks so sultry in this burgundy and red Lanvin gown.

Reese Witherspoon's outfit reminded me of Elle in Legally Blonde. She chose a caliente red strapless Zac Posen gown.

Jessica Chastain had a very old cool retro feel in this white embroidered Givenchy gown. Perfect for her nomination for "The Help".

You definitely need to see all aspects of Claire Danes in a very modern J. Mendel column gown. Absolutely amazing!

Charlize Theron looked like a mirage in this nude Dior Couture gown. I absolutely love it, and not many people can pull this look off.

Jessica Alba was my best dressed for the night. She looked amazingly gorgeous in this pale lavendar embroidered Gucci gown. When I saw her, I was seriously WoW'd!

Evan Rachel Wood is so freakin beautiful. I seriously might have a little girl crush on her. She looked so gorgeous in a feather and sequin embellished Gucci gown. Okay, she's definitely my other best dressed of the night!

For the fashion trends portrayed at this year's Golden Globes, nude was definitely a trend. Lace is still here to stay, especially nude colored lace. And if you didn't know already, Curves.Are.In. Show off that womanly figure of yours!

Ryan Reynolds and Charlize Theron have ended their short-lived relationship after just two months, according to Us Weekly.

“He only wanted something casual, but she’s in a rush to settle down, have kids and start a family since she’s getting older,” a source told the magazine.

The source added that Charlize, 36, “didn’t take it very well when he broke it off. She knows deep down that it wouldn’t have worked, but she is pretty bummed out about it all.”

The 35-year-old South African actress recently chatted about attending a polo match in England with Prince Harry.

“I am not dating him. I’m dating his passion for the work that he does,” she told USA Today with a laugh, referring to his charity work.

“I love what he’s doing and we met up with some people on his team. He has a real passion for it,” she added.

Prince Harry played for team Sentebale, a charity he founded in aid of orphans and vulnerable children in Lesotho. His team faced off against team Audi.

Looks like the 35-year-old actress is looking friendly with the 26-year-old Royal!

Charlize Theron goes out on a date with a mystery male on Tuesday (March 1) at Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills.

The 35-year-old actress gave her date a hug before driving away by herself. In January 2010 she ended her nine-year relationship with actor/director Stuart Townsend.

At the 2011 Oscars, Charlize wore a white one-shoulder Spring ‘11 Atelier Versace gown with Swarovski crystal detailing on the bodice.

Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault kicked off their wedding weekend with a masked gala on Friday night in Venice for all their guests. Celebrity attendees include Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend, as well as Edward Norton, Woody Harrelson, Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Ashley Judd, and more (Gael Garcia Bernal, Zhang Ziyi, Valeria Golino, Francois Mitterand, Jacques Chirac, Bernadette Chirac, Skin, Riccardo Scamarcio, Stella McCartney, Emir Kusturica, Frida Giannini, Lily Cole, Enrique Murciano). Salma and Francois-Henri's daughter Valentina got to join in the festivities, carried into the awaiting gondolas in the arms of her smiling father. What an amazing way to welcome guests to their wedding — hopefully the bride and groom can focus on the party because the official ceremony part was all the way back on Valentine's Day.
